Nope, no, terrible idea!

TBH, I do understand some of the argument you lay out, however I feel it is always better for a home side to have both areas behind the goals filled with their own fans. Away fans should be put in a corner, either under the video screen in the zoo corner or between the Lyndhurst and Demport. It would also mean Argyle fans on either side of them too. Personally the zoo corner would be the better option as there are fewer long-term season ticket holders in that area to move.
Would this idea not also increase the segregation area as you'd need two, one each side so reduce capacity.

It makes sense as you then have the two main areas that currently chant during games, namely the Devonport End and Block 16 in the Lyndhurst all congregated pretty close to each other. The noise/atmosphere should be pretty impressive.

Really, I think they'll be relegated by the powers that be. Genuinely.
Your assuming they are guilty, MCFC are confident that they have done nothing wrong so don’t presume anything.
As for the swapping of ends no chance, to suggest moving the traditional Argyle home end Is bonkers In my mind.

I get your point, but from where I am there's a surround sound element from having two areas

Nope, no, Neil, non, eff off.
اون

Just no.

Not fussed about the logistics.

Away fans in the Championship/Division 2 were going to the Barn Park for years

Its not a far walk from the taverners to the rest of the ground (I've done it since the Taverners opened) and the far post was there when away fans were in the Barn Park years ago.

It would be like swapping the Kop at Anfield (admittedly on a smaller scale😁). Just not right. Perhaps awat fans should have the Mayflower lower in the elements👍

Just no.

Logistical nightmare for the rest of us. The sun in the eyes argument is strong, but I also picked block 10 to have us play in front of me attacking in the half in the second half of games. I don't really want to be near away fans. I imagine most people in the ground have picked seats based on some variation of view, proximity to our/their fans, and where the action is likely to be at different times. I see the argument and Ian is right.. in the 80s and 90s the hardcore were in Zoo Corner, not the Devonport - but leave well alone imo
Yep completely agree with this. If Argyle did swap the ends around then you would probably have thousands of season ticket holders wanting to change seats which would be a logistical nightmare for the club I imagine.

I’ve posted this before on here during the season but I’d really like the club to consider moving the away end to the “spion kop” area. You have the natural segregation of the ambulance exit between it and the Devonport end, you can’t have too many loyal to that part of the ground (although it’d upset a few it’d be less than moving the away end to the Devonport or zoo corner), it’d make stewarding / policing the away entrance a lot easier by using the temp gating to channel away fans directly in / out and keep the Lyndhurst steps for home fans only. As already mentioned, with the far post club, GT tent and the new fanzone on the other side of the ground, it’d be make accessibility to those in the BP End a lot easier. Atmosphere wise it should improve dramatically having our more vociferous support to both the left and right of the “new” away end, it allows us to have home fans both sides of the tunnel and also behind both goals.

It makes total sense, but as I’ve heard the club are installing rail segregation in the BP it seems it won’t happen anytime soon.

The ideal long term solution to me would be a new corner stand in Bobby's garden which is away fan only then the lower Mayflower can also be used if required.

However, this is obviously not something that will happen anytime soon!
