Anyone going? I really wish I had brought a ticket earlier this year, especially as Coulthard announced his retirement today, would have been good to cheer him on.

Sounds like it could be a wet one all weekend, Silverstone is not exactly the nicest place to be in the wind and rain!

Predictions? If dry I'd go with Raikkonen. He has a fresh engine this weekend and has a better record at Silverstone then Massa. If wet, than who knows... Mark Webber is quite a good wet racer.
Hopefully Hamilton will pull his finger out (and stop being paranoid about the media) and get a good result.

Its been a rumour for the last couple of days, but has now been confirmed. Very much a nearly man of F1 but still a great driver and always seemed very friendly when being interviewed.
Already talk of him joining the BBC team for the F1 coverage next season, would do a good job I think.

Thinking the man is crazy and his answer will be meaningless, the golfer also feels that maybe this is a good omen so he says, " Sure," and sinks the putt.

Two holes later, he mumbles to himself again, "Gee, I sure would like to get an eagle on this one." The same stranger is at his side again and whispers, "Would it be worth giving up another fourth of your sex life?"

Shrugging, the golfer replies, "Okay." And he makes an eagle.

On the final hole, the golfer needs another eagle to win. Without waiting for him to say anything, the stranger quickly moves to his side and says, "Would winning this match be worth giving up the rest of your sex life?"

"Definitely," the golfer replies, and he makes the eagle.

Can anyone confirm if the long range goal scored by the Chelsea player near the end of this video is former argyle player Brian Bason ?

I seem to recall that when Argyle signed him he was quite famous for a goal which was shown at the beginning of ITV's 'The Big Match' programme in the 70's.

Oh and just look at 'Mr Pickwick' referee Kirkpatrick - they don't breed characters like this any more !

Two Red Indians and an Irishman were walking through the woods.
All of a sudden one of the Red Indians ran up a hill to the mouth of a small cave.

'Wooooo! Wooooo! Wooooo!' he called into the cave and listened closely until he heard an answering,
'Wooooo! Wooooo! Woooooo!
He then tore off his clothes and ran into the cave.

The Irishman was puzzled and asked the remaining Indian what it was all about,.
'Was the other Indian crazy or what?'

The Indian replied 'No, It is our custom during mating season when Indian men see cave, they holler
'Wooooo! Wooooo! Wooooo!' into the opening. If they get an answer back, it means there's a beautiful squaw in there waiting for us.

Just then they came upon another cave.
The second Indian ran up to the cave, stopped, and hollered,
'Wooooo! Wooooo! Wooooo!'
Immediately, there was the answer.
'Wooooo! Wooooo! Wooooo!' from deep inside.

He also tore off his clothes and ran into the opening.

The Irishman wandered around in the woods alone for a while, and then spied a third large cave.
As he looked in amazement at the size of the huge opening, he was thinking,
'Hoo, man! Look at the size of this cave! It is bigger than those the Indians found.
There must be some really big, fine women in this cave!'

He stood in front of the opening and hollered with all his might 'Wooooo! Wooooo! Wooooo!' like the others, he then heard an answering call, 'WOOOOOOOOO, WOOOOOOOOO WOOOOOOOOO!'
With a gleam in his eye and a smile on his face, he raced into the cave, tearing off his clothes as he ran.

Can somebody give me details of coaches etc. that travel to home games from Cornwall?
I will be in/around Newquay for the August Bank Holiday and I'm looking for the cheapest way for my 11 year old son and I to get to Home Park for the Swansea game without having to take the gas guzzler!

I know this is really a topic for the tickets & travel board but I've had no response from posting there (not surprising at this time of year!).
I need to get this sorted soon so hopefully someone out the in Cornshire might just have an answer.

The apparent hesitation in Saumel's decision raises an interesting point. He already knew the financial details of his package before he came, so this was not an issue. The city and area itself is very attractive. So is it the clubs facilities and infra-structure that are his conceren.

Better facilities at other clubs have already been quoted by former players as reasons to leave us. Even at the youth level we are losing out on players because better facilities are offered elsewhere.

In which case, should we make investment into the clubs facilities a priority to ensure that we can attract and retain top calibre players in the future, or should we concentrate our resources into the first team.

Better facilities should ensure long term success, wheras investing in players is taking a short term gamble.

Which option would you take......

Clearly we've a need for an a central midfielder who can contribute an 10 goals.

Anyone considered that we might have just the man already in our team...

I give you Steven Maclean. I think a little re-positioning and we could have a top player who is intelligent and quite composed in front of goal. Any views?

I was talking to someone close to Tony Pulis last night, and they told me a couple of mildly interesting things from our point of view...

Firstly, that they don't think all is well at Stoke and that they could be set to do a Derby. This person thinks Plymouth is a much "nicer" club, but that an official at Stoke told him Plymouth would never be promoted because they're too small time.

On another note, they also told me that Gary Penrice said he regretted moving to Leicester with Holloway after only two games. Penrice could see that there were huge problems in the squad and that they were doomed, but by then it was obviously too late to turn back.

They also told me that our Board had made one or two mistakes that had cost us a shot at the playoffs, but didn't elaborate.
