Every Premier League game is on TV live somewhere in the world.
Every Spanish Primera fixture is screened live in Spain itself

It is, although to the detriment of most of the fans due to the nature of silly staggered kick off times and last minute alterations.

I once went to an Atlético Madrid game that kicked off at 11:55pm (i.e. five minutes before midnight).

Ha, I can well believe Brussels! :)

Mind you, the bars and clubs in Madid don't usually start getting going until after midnight, so perhaps that kick off is about right. :)

It was very late in the season IIRC (April or May), which is when Madrid starts to get seriously hot during the daytime. I really enjoyed it!

The launch if this is odd in my eyes... mid summer, little sport to show.

It seems that most of the time, 3 of the specialist channels have all been showing the same thing. Will Sky Sports Main Event always show one of the other channels? Is there enough Darts Gold, Football Gold, WWE from the Vault, Shells World of Golf coverage to satisfy this 24/7?

IMHO it would have been better on the opening day of the season where they could have PL game on Main Event, another on the football channel and some other meaningful coverage of other sports.

Sky is up in a month so will probably look to cancel as my first year deal is running out

Don't think it could wait till then Sky sports are loosing customers by the thousands every month, which with the payments to the PL they are struggling financially. So they have decided to offer a seperate channels at a third of of the cost of a full package to try & stem the flow & target the individuals taste. They have already said the tv payments are unstainable but will honour the current deal. So the PL may well be a victim of its own greed once the deal expires

Caught a snippet on the radio this morning about Sky Sports PL channel being £18 per month... does that mean this is on top of the existing Sky Sports package, or does the existing bundle reduce by £18?

There are now 7 Sky Sports Channels

Sky Sports Premier League
Sky Sports Football
Sky Sports F1
Sky Sports Cricket
Sky Sports Golf
Sky Sports Action
Sky Sports Arena

SKY customers can make up their own sports package.

Choose one channel for £18 per month
Choose two channels for £22 per month
Choose three channels for £26 per month

or you can subscribe to the full Sky Sports package (all 7) for £27.50 per month and with this you will also get the new Sky Sports Main Event channel.

Prices may vary with other providers.
