I fully understand if not many tuned into Sky for the second round draw but you missed a right farce.

Firstly Newport were in the northern half of the draw and will host Leeds United whilst Burton Albion will travel to Cardiff because yes, they were in the southern section.

However it got worse. There were three pots. Pot A had the seeded teams which were drawn first. Then the second pot had home or away balls which determined where the seeded teams would play. Pot three had the non-seeded teams.

They were four games in before John Salako (who was drawing the seeded teams and the venue balls) realised he had been calling things back to front. He was calling the white balls for home fixtures and the red balls away. You could see the look of horror when he realised that the red balls had an "H" on them. However, they just carried on regardless but from then on correctly saying red were "home" balls.

At the end of the draw they confirmed the northern section of the draw but skipped showing the south. An hour on, Sky still haven't even acknowledge the confusion but their strap along the bottom of Sky Sports News is now showing those four fixtures the other way round than first announced.

On top of all this, West Ham were drawn away to Cheltenham Town but this was corrected to the Hammers being given a home tie. However due to the London Stadium not being available the game will actually be played at Cheltenham.

Confused, you will be!

Not all of the red balls were home. The red and white had a mix of Home and Away, but because the first few red he'd pulled out had all been away he got confused when one of them said home.

West Ham came out first being the seeded team, but as it had already been agreed that they would be away they came up listed away. Same with Newport who will be travelling to Leeds despite being drawn at home.

The first four fixtures have all been reversed from what they called when the draw was being made.

The Cup draw in a couple of hours is not being televised...so you have to wonder why on earth it's being done in China to expand the market if it's not even infront of the cameras.

The FA might as well jet in Rod Stewart to do the draw and give everyone some entertainment!

Not the FA. This is an EFL competition. It seems as if they are so desperate new income streams right now that anything is a possibility.

Rumoured that they ended up showing a pre-recorded version of the draw...... and somehow all the top teams were kept apart.
