I think that he was runner up on Sky 1's Football's Next Star a few years ago, which lead to him getting a Watford trial and permanent deal. Playing in league 2 was not the star future he probably had in mind when fighting for an Inter Milan contract.

Reminds me of that fella Magnay that won a contract with Chelsea.

He now plays for Grimsby I think?

Magnay is with Hartlepool now - got sent off this weekend gone for a WWE style tackle... The winner, Ben Greenhalgh, is with Concord Rangers - so I don't think Connor Smith will be complaining!!!
