The BBC Devon Sport Twitter feed is reporting that Peterborough midfielder Jack Payne is discussing terms with Argyle. He was on loan at Leyton Orient last season.
11 career goals - I'd assume he's a defensive player then. Is this a replacement for McHugh, so he can move into the defence?
He also says Payne doesn't want to drop in to League 2, and didn't want to join Orient.
So London can't lure him, lets see how good Adams is at persuading people to join.

Payne doesn't look like an attacking midfielder, I'm just trying to work out if DA wants two defensive midfielders in his team or not.
According to Wiki (sorry!) he's captained Peterborough in the past, the captaincy could be a carrot dangled by Adams to get him to come.
According to the BBC Adams knows nothing about it. Barry Fry has some nice things to say about us though.
