So, this 'communication' between yourself and Mr Brent. Did this start before or after the press release scathing Mr Heaney?
Just that some might see it as suspicious, if a member of the trust released said press release condemning a bidder if they were communication with a second bidder. That's all.
...........another (positive) way of looking at it is this. It shows the Trust's judgement matches that of the fans, it shows they're on the same wave ength. It all adds to the credibility of the Trust that complete parasites like Toad and Heaney are identified as such and lines of communication are open with the one quite, patient, prudent bidder in the process. I mean imagine if the reverse had happened, the Trust had poured scorn on Brent and courted Heaney........we'd have a serious problem taking them credibly wouldn't we
I tell you what it also does, it tells Mr. Brent that the Trust is worth including in his plans for the club post CVA because they really do have their finger on the pulse and can take the supporters with them. That chain of trust (fans trusting the Trust, Trust trusting Brent and Brent trusting the Trust) will be essential for all parties to move forward when we can get this situation resolved. There will be suspicion and cynicism, we've taken an almighty kicking in recent years from speculators but with genuine trust (with a small T) and meaningful dialogue i'd be hopeful the mistakes of the past won't be repeated.
It does somewhat reinforce the fact that there really is only one person in the game as far as the fans are concerned though. You can't polish a turd, and the other bidders sure as hell stink to high heaven. We're left dangling a bit if they offer more cash or appeal to Guilfolye or the creditors more than JB. Eggs in one basket springs to mind, it's all or nothing.
As I say, early days still but better to hear this sort of thing than not.
