Best pub for Saturday ?

The Railway Tavern by Prittlewell station. If the weather is good then the beer garden is the place to be! It's quite large plus they have a little food stall out the back. Recommend the fish and chip shop near the ground too !

The fish n chip shop is great - always a queue but they serve pretty quickly. One tip to Q jump is to check if they have any spaces in their small restaurant, the prices there are only a few pennies more and you get a seat with quick service

The usual away fans pub is closed - The Railway is fine tho you may find police steering the Green Army elsewhere (can't recall the name, sorry). The Shrimpers Bar under the East Stand is basic but welcomes well behaved away fans (tho capacity is limited, Roots Hall is crumbling with minimal facilities) and if you visit the Shrimpers Trust stand in the corner there you can even get a copy of my Roots To The 92 book (which due to my Plymouth collections has loads of Argyle experiences in it) and support the Moody Blues campaign at the same time (see other thread) as the royalties this month go to the Moody Blues campaign
