The boys did very well against a strong Sherborne team. Sherborne very much physically stronger team with a good bunch of lads who have played together for some time.

The youngster did no pull out of tackles and gave a very good account of themselves.

Very hot conditions. Game was stopped once each half for drinks breaks, they were really needed.

Thanks for the info, glad the youngsters held there own . I do believe there were youngsters as young as 15 so well done boys .

Is Sherborne in Devon? Never heard of it!
I think you are winding us up.

Sherborne Town play in the Premier Division of the Western League. The ground is also used now by Yeovil Town Ladies FC who play in the Womens League Div 2 with such teams as Doncaster Belles , Sunderland and Aston Villa.

We are a small town in Dorset, six miles from Yeovil with a population of about 10,000. We also have 2 large Public Schools.

We are 100 miles away from Home Park which seems a very long way if we lose, especially an evening match.

Here endeth the geography lesson. : :funny: :scarf:

Ah, ok! Whoops!

Usually we play a lot of the SWPL sides e.g. Bodmin, Parkway, Saltash, Elburton, but we've gone a bit further afield for Sherborne!
