Genuine question. Is there anything stopping the big screen showing Argyle's televised games in the city centre?..can't think of a better way of generating a bit of curiosity about the city's football team. They showed bloody Wimbledon on it after all

Sounds like a good idea.

Why not E mail the club and see what the answer is?

I would imagine the cost of a licence from Sky would be prohibitive and perhaps not the best use of the Corporations funds when other services are taking hits, bludy good idea all the same.

Pubs play a relatively large premium to be able to show the SKy TV games, I doubt that PCC would be willing to pay a similar amount for a one off game (even one featuring a local team).

Lostwithiel, Capital of Cornwall.
they didn't show any of the world cup matches.
Think the question was asked at the time, something about not wanting to show football and 'security' implications from memory.
