Massive Dockyard Derby v Pompey on 15th November 12.05 kick off

Armed Forces day & Live on Sky

Haven't seen much advertising yet with just a couple weekends away

Surely this is a golden opportunity to promote Argyle & The Green Army

Any news on The RBL Display ?

Surely we don't want to see half empty Home Park live on Sky ??

Let's Fill up Home Park Vs Pompey !!!!

We should get GreenArmy1984 to advertise it all round Plymouth hoping his enthusiasm washes off onto other janners, surely worth a go?

It's all in hand the PAFC marketing guru has told the the people of plymouth he is disappointed that they are not coming each week & he would like them to turn out for this one, well not quite all the people of plymouth just the 30 or so peeps at the Board Q&A and anyone that might happen to stumble across the video of said event.
I'm sure this will fill the ground & the 3 days after the game will can all listen to the one game a year janner complain that there was a queue of a dozen or so people at 2.55 so they missed the KO & to top it off they ran out of pasty's before tea time.

errm surprised if there is a queue at 2.55 given it is a 1205 KO

Great idea, however, there is one big flaw.

DJM still has a full program of games on this day, with the majority of kick-offs between 11am and 12.30pm.

So many hundreds of local children, parents, coaches and managers will not be able to attend !!

I raised this in the fans forum thread as someone put forward the idea of promotional offers for this match. However there was caution by the board about putting such offers forward in fear of upsetting season ticket holders.

That said, I know offer clubs have put promotional offers forward before and included season ticket holders in them to offer them the chance to take advantage of them.

Take kids of a quid for example. This for the general public requires an adult (full price) ticket to qualify, and then can get an additional child ticket for £1. But why not allow ST holders to take advantage too? They have their adult ticket already and so should be able to just buy anew individual child ticket for a quid. I appreciate it means less additional money for the club, but getting younger people to the game is important. It's often noted that the club people come to support is most often the first club they saw live.

If there were reduced prices, then maybe ST holders could qualify to buy additional tickets for an even cheaper price. For example if general sale adult tickets were £15 maybe ST holders could take a mate for a tenner. This way everyone is a winner.

The Club and the Trust gave out releases yesterday. Newspapers have also been informed of some of the plans for the day, with more to follow.

The Trust also have the Commemoration Evening the night before which some Pompey fans are coming down for.
