The next chapter in the History of Argyle series is now available. It's chapter 16, an account of the Second World War Years of 1939-45, a time of utter devastation for the club and city. What's more, as far as we know, the story of this part of the club's history has never been published before.

I know the history series is not a favourite for everyone, but why not give it a try - it could even be a decent read! :thumbup:

As Steve says the history of the club is not everyone's cup of tea. It is a special interest of mine so I am biassed when I say how fascinating I have found the entire series. This particular chapter is well up to the standard of the previous ones and I am sure people of all ages would find it interesting if they gave it a go. In addition to PAFC related items this chapter furnishes the reader with a good appreciation of what was going on in the world at large and delivers plenty of social history too.
