There's a new Football League App out now on iOS (maybe for android too, I don't know) where you can watch all the 'Player' videos AND I believe, where you can listen to games live.

FLi Player, I think it's called.

I have used the same details as I use for the old app, which still allows me to watch vids & listen to games

Not a clue then. I signed into the old app after not going on it for a while and it told me that it had been deactivated and replaced with this one, so I thought I'd share the news.

I have the new one and it works pretty well, although it occasionally fails to acknowledge that there is a game on and it takes a few refreshes to offer me the commentary. Anyway, it's better than the previous solution of Argyle Player over a flash-enabling iOS app like Photon, which is rather fiddly and apt to time out.
