Music in the stadium

The music that pays in the stadium is great to build the atmosphere, but does anyone else think they should turn the music off 5 minutes prior to kick off so the players can hear the chants instead of hearing some naff 90's dance music?

ISTR this being tried in our Championship days but it turned out to be a bit of an own goal allowing the 'usually' more vocal away following to be heard above the rest!
