I was at Canada Water on my walk back home around 3pm. I did think about making a mad dash for it but still would have missed quite a bit of the first half.

Says we had a trialist in goal called Deniz Mehmet. 23 years old and former West Ham academy player. I think that it is a good move to try and look at a proper second choice Goalkeeper like this rather than having to get someone on loan to play first team if McCormick gets injured.

Why pay a wage which isn't needed?

Why pay a wage which isn't needed?

We can clearly afford to have another first team keeper at the club and so why risk either the emergency loan options not being great or the emergency loan window being closed altogether?

I doubt this guy is going to be absorbing vast wages if he does sign on.

It could be because Bittner's injury is more long term than first thought, Adams would rather have a bit more experience for a back-up keeper than Cory Harvey and Mehmet is available and relatively cheap on wages?
Also the JPT cup win against Exeter would have generated unexpected income so Adams has been given the green light to look for another keeper.

Teams are allowed a number of over-age players, I think it's three over-age outfield players and an over-age keeper.
