The importance of character

This is the thing that has kept me optimistic during three poor performances in a row. It's the character of the team.

With our constantly unsettled side, inability to string passes together, generally poor performances from most players, it would be easy to accept that all is now lost. However at no time have I seen chins drop. Even today, which was arguably our direst performance, there was nobody hiding, everybody striving, desperately it's true, for the equaliser we luckily got.

The player who epitomises this is Curtis Nelson. Leads by example, chases lost causes, and never, never gives up, coming forward whenever necessary to show how it should be done.

just get some of those missing critical players back and I'm convinced we'll become a force again, because the will to win is there.
