So its decided

The dockyard derby will decide who goes to the play off final

Portsmouth with their relative high level Budget and pedigree take one corner

Argyle with their spectacular fall from grace in part 2 of the season take the other

Both teams have F****d up in their own special way
Both teams have been entirely inconsistent throughout
Both teams have decent crowds
Both teams should be playing at a higher level
Both teams home form isnt great
Both teams have similar message boards....ie realists, pessimists, green tints, blue tints etc

But who will conquer. One game each so far

Reckon its who wants it more

This. Was it the Herald that came up with the dockyard derby tag?

If league results repeat it would go to pens. I'd take that now.

I wouldn't, Luke McCormick has never been close to saving a penalty.

Notts County away in 2004 springs to mind.

He saved one at Cambridge last season.

correct...first match of last season away at Cambridge was the last time Luke saved a penalty. Good quiz question that.

Anyone know how many pens he's faced since then?

Agreed on all counts apart from the Dockyard Derby thing .

If anything it's the battle of the ports , no game involving a 360 mile round trip can be described as a derby .

I think the "Dockyard Derby" title came from the Argyle media department. The Herald always referred to the match as "Battle of the Ports".

It was known as the Dockyard Derby way, way before Argyle Media was a twinkle in someone's eye.
