The League Two play-off final will be at Wembley on Monday 30 May, kick-off 3pm. Argyle v AFC Wimbledon.

Play-off income

The income generated from the play-offs is shared between the four participating clubs and the rest of League Two - this is called the Pool Account and money is paid out depending on the position each club finishes in League Two.
Sky TV money from the play-offs including the final is not paid to the four clubs but to the Football League.

The four teams taking part in the semi-finals will equally share 50% of the income from the four games, the other 50% goes into the Pool Account.
So Argyle would receive 12.5% of income from all four play-off semi-final matches regardless of the size of attendances at each game.

The two teams in the play-off final will share 50% of the income generated (not the TV money) and the other 50% goes into the Pool Account. So if Argyle reached the final they will receive 25% of income generated from the Wembley game.

Sunday 15 May

Portsmouth manager Paul Cook spoke to The News and said his players need to manage games better....
"We have to manage situations better. It’s been our Achilles heel all season.
"We don’t manage periods of the game well. We can lose our discipline and that’s from experienced lads.

"We have the ability to lose all sanity in a game. We were capable of being 3-1 or 4-1 down at half-time.
"We have to go through the situations as a team and manage it better.
"You have to have a strong mentality.
"It’s those little decisions in games which are massively important."

The A38 is closed in both directions just past Marsh Mills due to the removal of a bridge and subsequent clear up. A diversion is in place through Plympton. The A38 is expected to open at 3pm.

Argyle win the second leg 1-0 and are off to Wembley!

Thursday 26 May

AFC Wimbledon manager Neal Ardley is unsure of his starting line-up and has hinted that Adebayo Akinfenwa could start the game, he spoke to Your Local Guardian....
We have a few niggles and injuries, and people coming back from injury.
“So how they train this week, how many sessions they get in, will dictate if they are considered for the squad
“It could have a bearing on the shape. It’s all very well saying we’re going to play this or that shape, but if I don’t have the players to play it, we can’t.”
“Saturday and Sunday is match prep time. We will know about Plymouth’s strengths by that point and at the same time, we’ll look at our players and think this is the best way to approach it.

“We don’t know what role the Beast might play – we could lose Tom Elliott and Lyle Taylor during the week and the decision is out of your hands.
“I am open to everything at the moment, and I have said we will not discuss the team until Saturday morning.
“But the beauty of what we have done is that we can change formations during a game and it is something I believe in."

Argyle have released more tickets for sale, these are in lower tiers and different price bands.

Drummer Chris "Woody" Wood of Bastille fame has pledged to wear the full Argyle kit to the game.

The match programme is available to buy now for £9.50 including delivery Link

Manager Derek Adams spoke to the club official website about the experience in his squad and the Wembley pitch...
"A lot of them have played on the big stage before, Gregg Wylde has played in front of 50,000 people in Old Firm games; Graham Carey has played in big matches; Jake Jervis has played in big matches; and Luke McCormick. If you look at it there is a lot of them have played in very big games. Kelvin Mellor has played at Wembley before. We have got a squad that are capable and have played on the bigger stage. I think that is important."
"If you look at the dimensions of the pitch, they are exactly the same dimensions at Wembley as they are here."

Saturday 28 May

AFC Wimbledon manager Neal Ardley spoke to the club website and wanted Dons fans to buy more tickets....
"It’s brilliant and it makes you proud, but I want more! We’ve got 20,000, but let’s get 25,000 and push the boundaries out. You always have those first few days when ticket sales go through the roof, but they obviously slow down. This is a big occasion and my message is ‘come and watch us, no matter who you support, we can be your second team’.
"Fair play to Plymouth for selling over 33,000 tickets. With corporate tickets, it could be 60,000 and you are thinking ‘wow’. Can we be greedy and make it to 65,000? Let’s make it a day to remember, no matter what. It’s a celebration of good seasons for both teams and the atmosphere will be electric."
