Adams Manager of the Month (Confirmed)

Derek Adams must be nailed on to win Manager of the Month for September.

He won it in November last season and the curse struck because he lost the next game, although that was a cup game but he did win the next league game following the MotM announcement.

Agreed, we were saying this last night.
If they announce it on Monday or Tuesday and the curse does strike, it'll be the Checkatrade game against Wimbledon on Tuesday evening. I don't like seeing Argyle lose any game but it wouldn't be as disastrous as losing a league game.

If he wins he will probably be presented with the trophy before the Portsmouth game.. Oh dear!
Hopefully the powers that be wont fancy trekking to Plymouth and give it to someone nearer London.

Adams has had a great start to the season but I hope they find a reason to give it to someone else. We all know what happens when you get awarded that particular trophy. It's called the "curse" for good reason.

The curse has actually been proved to be untrue. In the four weeks after getting manager of the month, those managers get an average of 1.6 points per game.

Normal timescales would see him presented with the award on the Thursday (but then announced on the Friday) before we play Stevenage

Rubbish!

Paul Sturrock won it at least 3 times in 2001/02 and he won the prestigious "Manager's Manager" award.

When we beat Notts County they were in the relegation zone. Sheridan was under pressure.

It seems like we have been flying ever since, 7 wins in 8 and there Notts County are not far behind us at all.

Sheridan's side must have clicked too. He might be worth a nomination.
