Long queues for tickets form at Home Park in the morning, firstly for season ticket holders and a second queue for fans with a booking history in anticipation of the 2pm opening time.

The club clarify the booking history criteria....
To clarify - booking-criteria for Liverpool replay tickets is to have booked five DIFFERENT #pafc games through us between Aug 2015 and now

With lengthy queues at Home Park the club advise fans at 12 noon not to join the queue because they won't be served by close of business today.
Those in the queue and not served are given a numbered ticket for a queue place on Thursday

After much confusion and frustration the club suspend ticket sales by phone.

The club release a statement....
WE have suspended ’phone sales of tickets for our Emirates FA Cup third-round replay against Liverpool.
Demand for tickets for the big game on Wednesday, January 18 has been such that we want to make sure that we can honour supporters who have queued at Home Park, many for several hours.

Early on Wednesday, it became apparent that we would not be able to process the demands of everyone who had come to Home Park to buy a ticket.
We, therefore, called a halt to the queues and issued a GREEN ticket-voucher to people who we estimated would not reach the front of the line by close of business.
Those supporters, and supporters who subsequently called to Home Park, have been issued with a green ticket-voucher, allowing them to reform the queue on Thursday morning in the place they held when we stopped the queues.

For convenience, supporters should aim to come to Home Park in the following sequence:
From 9am, green ticket voucher holders: 510-590;
10am, 591-670;
11am, 671-750;
Noon, 751-830;
1pm, 831-910;
2pm, 911-1,000.

We will renew telephone sales when and if it becomes clear that we will be able to satisfy the demand of those supporters who hold a ticket-voucher.

We thank you for your magnificent support and your patience. We will do our utmost to make sure everyone who wants a ticket for the match will be able to get one.

Between 2,000 and 3,000 temporary seats will be installed on the Mayflower terrace. Work will start on Sunday after the Stevenage game.

Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard will be at the replay as a pundit for BT Sport.

Argyle or Liverpool v Wolves in the Fourth Round of the FA Cup will be screened live by BT Sport on 28 January with a 12.30pm kick-off.

The club release a statement regarding the 1,800 temporary seats, they are priced at £35 each which includes a match programme and a voucher for food and drink at a future game...
ARGYLE are re-opening Home Park’s Mayflower Terrace for Wednesday’s FA Cup tie against Liverpool.

Following unprecedented demand for tickets to watch the third-round replay with Jurgen Klopp’s Premier League giants, the club is to re-introduce temporary seating in the Mayflower for the first time since 2010.
The extra seating will raise Home Park’s capacity for the eagerly-anticipated clash by more than 1,800.

Pilgrims chairman James Brent said: “This is great news for the Green Army.
“Argyle’s management team and staff have been working extraordinarily long hours to issue around 13,500 tickets – our full allocation – over the last few days. This task has been made more challenging by the wish to make the allocation as fair as possible.

“At the same time, the management team has been working on a complex plan to add additional seating to ensure that as many members of the Green Army as possible can see the once-in-a-generation match.
“Our thanks go to Liverpool for waiving their allocation and their rights to any revenue from the new seating, without which we would not have been able to do this.
“We also thank our sponsors Ginsters and St Austell Brewery.

“Special thanks to the Safety Advisory Group for their strenuous efforts in helping to make this happen for the city of Plymouth.”

Tickets will be £35 – no concessions – and will include a free souvenir match-day programme, normally £5, and a voucher for a pasty and a drink which can be redeemed at a future game.
The club is absorbing the cost of the seating and will be taking a loss on those additional seats – the installation is not about making money, but making the game available to as many fans as possible.

Work will be going on around the clock to make sure that not only are the seats installed but also temporary toilets, food outlets, and access.

Tickets for the Mayflower seating will go on sale at 1pm on Monday, January 16 to White Members who have not previously bought a ticket and to people who meet the booking-history criteria, on line; at the Ticket Office; and by ’phone on 01752 907700. They will be able to by two tickets per person.

To satisfy the booking-history criteria, supporters must have purchased a minimum of five match tickets – home or away – through the Plymouth Argyle ticket office over the past two seasons.
To ease anticipated congestion at the Ticket Office, supporters are strongly urged to attempt to book online in the first instance.

From 9am on Tuesday, January 17, subject to availability, people without a booking history but who live in postcode areas PL, TQ and TR will also be eligible to buy two tickets for the Mayflower seating.

Monday 16 January

Derek Adams tells the BBC it was difficult to focus on the Stevenage game with the Liverpool game looming....
"It's been very difficult for us.
"We've got people talking about the Liverpool game since we drew at Anfield and everybody else around the place forgot about the Stevenage game.
"We've seen everything goes around the football club and to be fair to the players they've shown a lot of grit and determination to get through the game."

Loan players Paul-Arnold Garita and Craig Tanner extend their loan deals until the end of the season and are eligible to play against Liverpool.

Tickets for temporary seating on the Mayflower terrace go on sale at 2pm instead of 1pm.

The club issue another statement about tickets....
DEMAND for tickets for Argyle’s Emirates FA Cup tie against Liverpool at Home Park has shown no signs of slowing down.

Despite adding more than 1,800 extra seats by re-opening the Mayflower Terrace for Wednesday’s third-round replay against the Premier League giants, the Pilgrims are approaching sell-out for the big match.
Around 1,000 tickets, plus another 400 with a restricted view, remained to be sold when the Home Park Ticket Office closed of business on Monday night – more than 48 hours before kick-off.

With a new capacity of nearly 17,500, Wednesday is all set up to be one of the most magnificent nights in Home Park history.

The Ticket Office will re-open at 9am on Tuesday morning when supporters without a booking history, but who live in postcode areas PL, TQ, TR and EX will be eligible to buy tickets for the first time since they went on sale.

These – up to a maximum of two per person – will be available to purchase in person at the Ticket Office or over the ’phone (toll free on 01752 907700) only. They are not available online.
Tickets will also remain available to purchase for Green and White Members, and Big Green Lottery Members, who have not previously bought a ticket and/or who want to buy two additional tickets if they have not already done so.

Tickets – again up to a maximum of two – will also be sold to people who meet the club’s booking-history criteria.
To satisfy the booking-history criteria, supporters must have purchased a minimum of five different first-team games – home or away – through the Argyle Ticket Office over the past two seasons.

Tickets for Green and White Members, Big Green Lottery Members, and people who satisfy booking-history criteria will be available on line; at the Ticket Office; and by ’phone, toll-free on 01752 907700.

Late on Monday evening online tickets become available for members in the temporary seating area.

Tommy Tynan gives an interesting interview to the Daily Mail

The weather forecast for the match is dry and cold with a temperature of around 3°C or 4°C.

Former Arsenal striker and Sky Sports pundit Charlie Nicholas predicts a 2-1 win to Argyle.....
I honestly do think Plymouth can cause an upset here. They were in good form at the weekend, putting four past a Stevenage side which have been fairly handy on the road this season.

I think Klopp will make loads of changes again to his tired-looking side. Liverpool are in need of a rest and I think he’ll prioritise the Capital One Cup and play a similar side to the one which failed to get the job done at home.

The club suspend tickets sales again at 11.00am.
Demand to see Argyle take on Liverpool in Wednesday's Emirates FA Cup tie at Home Park has been so high that the club has suspended ticket sales.
The Pilgrims added more than 1,800 extra seats earlier this week by opening the Mayflower terrace for the first time since 2010, bringing the Home Park capacity to nearly 17,500.

Supporters eager to watch Argyle take on Jurgen Klopp's Premier League giants have snapped these up in the 24 hours since they went on sale.
The club has now suspended sales to assess how many further tickets they can release - these will largely be seats with a restricted view.

These tickets will then go on sale only to personal callers at Home Park. There will be no further sales online or by phone.

The court case involving David Goodwillie has reached its conclusion with the judge deciding Goodwillie is a rapist.
The club issue a statement that until the full report is published Goodwillie will not be available for selection.
At this stage Goodwillie will miss the replay against Liverpool.
WE note today's judgment from the Court of Session in Edinburgh regarding David Goodwillie.
We await the full report, which we will consider in detail before making any comment.
Until such time, David Goodwillie will not be selected to play for Plymouth Argyle.

Park and Ride info....

Sonny Bradley talks to the Liverpool Echo and says he will tone down his "wet willy" antics for the replay and also talks about the disruption at Newport in the previous round....
"The referees might focus on me a bit more because of that incident so I'm aware that I have to be very professional.
“I didn't actually put my finger inside his ear. I just touched his ear lobe to try and get his attention away from the corner.
"You do see things like that a lot in the lower leagues. It was good to take that to a Premier League club and apply those tactics.”
"Graham Westley is an experienced manager and Newport made it very hostile for us (in round two).
"It was a poor pitch with hardly any grass on it, the fans were very hostile, there was no heating and they had covered the electric sockets so we couldn't play our music.

“They also jarred the door so we couldn't close it. It was just another thing that made it uncomfortable because you want to be able to shut the door so nobody can here your tactics and team talk.
“But with Liverpool, we've been to their place and they've shown us the utmost respect.

“The treatment from them was top quality so when they come to us, of course we won't have the dressing rooms and other little things you get at a top club, but we'll look after them the way we would any team that comes here.”

Transport information, with thanks to Darren Stoneman.....
All roadworks will be reduced today/tomorrow including the right turn into Ham Drive, these will be reinstated later in the week.

They will be clear by 3.30pm

The Park & Ride will be open, the Milehouse car park will be very busy so if at all possible please avoid.

The bottom half will have a segregation in effect from tomorrow morning to allow BT sport staff to park for the transmission.

The Lifecentre is slightly quieter on a Wednesday than a Tuesday but again would recommend parking elsewhere. If you are able to walk there is a P&D car park in City Business Park in Somerset Place for £2 and is approx 15 min walk (past a couple of pasty vans)
Citybus are running a normal service from Milehouse junction into the city centre.

There will be enforcement officers in the residential areas to ensure the roads remain viable and to limit the impact on local residents.

Wednesday 18 January. Match day!

This thread will close later today.

Fans are urged to arrive early to ease congestion on the roads and at the turnstiles, these will open at 6.15pm.
