During the recent PACSA meeting, Martyn Starnes and I entered some friendly banter regarding 'Argyle Green'.

I mentioned my hope that PAFC would see sense and revert to 'proper Argyle green'. Martyn looked to the heavens and explained that I was obsessed to all the gathered Cornish and said 'Hands up those who are happy with the current green".

Nada, nil, no one, not one person.

Then I asked Martyn to ask the obvious next question, to which he answered 'I don't want to' (with a gert big smile on his face). So I asked John Simmons, the Chair if he would, so he did.

Every person (including Simon Hallett :funny: ) said they wanted 'Proper Argyle Green' back.

It's sometimes very pleasant to have the finger on the pulse. :scarf:

Hope the new Marketing Manager takes note.

It was a funny moment, but to be fair, the demographic was on my side of the debate.

You do realise if you get your way then in 20 years time then all of those then approaching 60 will be requesting "proper Argyle green" (i.e the current shade) back instead of this "light green nonsence".

Then that'll take ten years to happen, but then the argument will reoccur every 30 years until we all fly up the bottom of an Oozlum bird.

Think it's a generational thing, I started going to games properly whilst we were in the championship so most of my time spent watching Argyle has been spent watching us play in dark green, which is the colour I identity the club with. Not that I'd have a major problem with switching to a lighter green though.

Dark green won, I think was 52%.

Again, it's the age of the audience.

So what exactly is proper Argyle Green? I started going in 91 and in the 90s our kit was a lighter green but as others have said a generational thing, in my time I can see we have naturally progressed to a darker green.

The answer is........what you think it should be.

Not to be taken too serious.
