I know this is going to be a very difficult thread to add to, but if you can find the right words, Brian's family hope it will be a comfort to him. Under the circumstances, I thought it best to start a new thread because people might not have realised how poorly he is.

I had an email from Brian's daughter today. In it she said:

"Its Linda, Brian Pedley's daughter. We have had some bad news. Dad's cancer has spread to most of his major organs now and he doesn't have long. He is coming home tomorrow for his final days. We would appreciate it if you could put it out to the Green Army, as I know my dad was well known & loved, then I can read out the messages of love & support to him."

[When she says tomorrow, it was written at four in the morning, so it could be that he comes home today]

Brian, I can't imagine how many times I've thanked you when you've sent in something like 200 video snippets over the last five years, but now thanks don't seem enough. But it's all I can do, so again, thank you so much - I know they have been hugely appreciated by people all over the world. And what always struck me was how cheerful you always were, whatever the result of the game. I need to learn from your example!

Green Army love to you, and of course to your wife and family, who I know will be a great comfort to you. Our thoughts are very much with you all.

Steve

Like so many contributors on this site, Brian we all think we know you because of your sage posts.

I can only hope for you and your family the next few days and filled with comfort and love and perhaps a few, wistful smiles.

I hate these threads and we have to many recently.

Very sad news. God bless Brian and thoughts are with both you and your family.

I'm thinking of you and your family Brian. Enjoy sharing some time and memories together.

Let's hope the team can get you a win to smile about on Saturday.

I echo what Steve and the Doc have said; your video clips are missed and I hope the team can get 3 points on Saturday to put a smile on your face. My thoughts are with you and your family at this time.

As others have already said, I too miss the little video clips on Greensonscreen most weeks. Although I've never met Brian, I can see how he's held in high esteem by member of this site. Thought are with Brian and his family.

Brian,

It's people like you that make Argyle what it is (or should be!).

With love and best wishes.

Brian I pray for you and your family to have the strength you all need at this difficult time. As others have said I hope you can look back on all the good times to share the tears and laughter of days gone by. As a member of the Green Army the rest of us recognise you as family, so please know that you will remain in our thoughts.

God bless.
