I first knew Robert many many years ago, when we were both at DHS.Although he was a few years older than me,we were both in the same house Grenville, which was at the time a very good sporting house. Also met him many times at HP,always had time for a chat....R.I.P. Robert.

I met him in the bar at an Albion match when Argyle had just Beaten Forest 3-0 away. he was part of the corperate match sponsors and was gutted that he hadn't gone to the football. Me and my mate introduced ourselves as Argyle fans and then spent the best part of an hour talking everything Argyle. He seemed far more content yapping to 2 Argyle fans than spending time with his corporate freeloaders. He seemed like a cracking bloke and came across as a hugely passionate fan. R.I.P

No need for that!

Agreed. Dreadful and insensitive in the extreme.

A charming and engaging man who was a friend, a colleague and travelling companion to many an away game. Rob was always the diplomat and a great arbitrator. I will always remember his preference for being in company with the ladies, Argyle's very own Leslie Phillips - Ding Dong - and his dry wit and humour. He has fought a terrible illness with courage. A sad loss and my sincerest condolences to Cindy and Tom. Rest in Peace Rob

You have summed it up perfectly for me Damon. In the twenty or so years I knew him he was always the perfect gentleman. The courage and dignity he has demonstrated over the last year or so is typical of the man. My sincerest condolences to Cindy and Tom. A great loss.
