......to everyone who has wished my Grandad well when I have mentioned him on here. Unfortunately, just after midnight (26/9/13) he passed away in his sleep.

Very recently IJN arranged for a signed Argyle shirt to be sent to him as a 'thank you' for supporting Argyle for so long and MemoryMan also arranged for one of my Grandad's favourite players (Alan Rogers) to send him a card and for the two to have a chat about old Argyle stories etc.

Words cannot describe how much this meant to me, him and the rest of our family. As a football community I do believe Plymouth Argyle are blessed with some of the best Supporters possible.

He was a collector (of many football memorabilia) but one of his favourite pieces was the Programme for the England v Bulgaria Under 21 International match at Home Park in 1970, featuring a young Norman Piper, Colin Todd and Peter Shilton. It was the only International match he attended and he was chuffed that it was at Home Park. Apparently he put the programme aside for me to have, to add to my collection.

I have no other way to say thank you to all of you, so all I can do is share a little piece of his Argyle history with you. I have scanned in the England v Bulgaria programme for you all to browse. Download link should be below.

Plymouth Argyle never lose a football match, it's just that quite often we run out of time to enable us to win.......

Sorry to hear of your loss Adam, we've lost to many greens of late but your grandad is with good company. I agree about the fans also mate and some of them have a nice way of making you feel really humble as they did with me over the death of my mother, a kindness and something you'll never forget.
