just flicked onto facebook and come across the sad news of the passing of David Johnson, one of the Newquay Greens, and a gent I've had the pleasure of travelling with on the Bananabus for many a game.
RIP DJ.
I'll raise a glass to you tonight and the next time i'm on the BB.

RIP David. We've lost too many Pilgrims recently.

Yes very sad news today about David Johnson LG!

I only heard he had been unwell for sometime from 'Bananabus Boy' and we both had tears on the phone over some of the things we said and the fond memories we had of David.

He was a true gent who ran a very successful business with a lovely family to boot but at the same he loved all things connected with Argyle and some of the antics apparently connected with the Bananabus and elsewhere.

RIP David and keep the 'Green flag' flying high with your Newquay and other Pilgrims.

Most definitely Paul, I'm on for Bury. Just keep me updated which ones you're keen for!

Fergy! I do not know you in person and you probably do not know me!

However, I believe you may know a sort of family member of mine so in lieu of your very kind words to LG about David Johnson I strangely have a ticket for the Bury away game should you could make use of it? It came via a PASOTI sponsorship.

Hence, should you want the ticket PM for further details or liaise with IJN as he set up the sweepstake originally and may know how things work more than me!

Take care and keep it 'Green'

Spoke to Jason about this a short while ago.
David was one of the bananabus family and we are all saddened at this time.
Tears have been shed indeed.
Catch up with you in the new season hopefully Dave.

Dave, can you PM me, I have no idea what that is referring to?

I knew David well and he was a true supporter of Argyle and other sports in Newquay. He had had a lot of sadness in his life years ago and now did not deserve and early visit to that Great Home Park in the Sky. RIP David.
