Truly tragic. I opened Pasoti in the car going back from Cheltenham to read the post match reaction and I was bowled over to read this news. You could have knocked me down with a feather.

Me and Tyhee had a few barnies back in the day when I was a gobby little oik on here (well less of one than I am now) but with age I grew to understand him and his view of the world so much better. A truly incredible writer and poster who understood this club and indeed the world so so well. I often lost myself reading his great posts and his wicked sense of humour. RIP Neil.

Cheers for uploading the Ghosts of Saturday PL2- had never heard it before until today.

Think all the posts on this thread show what PASOTI thought of him , a tribute and he will be missed......

Just listened to the above and very poignant listening to the lyrics.

Would be nice following on from comments in this thread if some sort of tribute could be arranged for the home game against Burton.

Nothing over the top but something fitting....

Gutted, awful news

Met Slim a couple of times but disagreed with each other many times on here. His posts were always articulate, always worth reading and irrespective of agreement or otherwise they always left you a little more educated. He was a hugely respected 'foe'.

The Green Army has lost a big hitter, and we're all poorer for it.

My sincere condolences to his family.

RIP Tyhee.

"This is the king of shirting fabrics and as light as a soufflé"

We'll miss that.

RIP Tyhee

Four years younger than me - makes you realise how lucky you are to get to whatever age you do.

I'll miss the sod.
A very clever man, could derail a post at will, while I don't think we were 'mates' I think our senses of humour were aligned.

He'd probaby hate this thread.

I'm going to make a cloth souffle.

RIP dude.

Never met him but he came across as a very "controversial" figure.

I always liked to read his posts.

At a ridiculous age as well !!

RIP Tyhee Slim.

Keep the Faith :scarf:

Ghosts of Saturday.

Wouldn't it be great if someone close to the club could arrange for that to be played at half time against Burton, a fitting tribute imo.

No idea what he meant.

Can anyone enlighten me?

Oh no!
I bumped into Neil in the pub at Mansfield some seasons ago before a match. I just remember having such a nice time, chatting with him. He was going back to University, studying Italian.
He just enjoyed life - things amused him, like Laurel and Hardy.

And I asked him about his signature:
"This is the king of shirting fabrics and as light as a soufflé"

It was just something he saw once, written by a textile manufacturer on his blurb.
It amused Neil and made him chuckle.
Thank you Neil for amusing us. RIP

Thanks Putney Pete

Absolutely delighted the signature was rooted in something totally mundane.

For a while some years back, there was a suggestion that Tyhee was Dawn French!

Wow what a shock.

Didn't know him personally (as with everyone on here) but always read his posts and views.

Condolences
