Sad news tonight, Dougie Anderson died today of a heart attack.

He was only 52.

Not the greatest of players to grace the green shirt, but a really good bloke and a friend to a few on here.

I recall him in his playing days as a winger, slightly built, short of stature with short neat hair. Thanks for the memory Pilgrim

Sad news indeed. I remember one game when he ripped the opposition defense apart. It might have been Leicester, someone will remember I'm sure.

Yep Harry that was the one. 4-1 I think and Dougie scored 2? I sat in the press box for that game with my brother who used to do the reports for Plymouth Sound.

thanks to GOS, we did beat Leicester 4-0 at home on 28 dec 1987.
Dougie scored 1, sir TT 2 and Mark Smith 1.

earlier in the season we had lost 4 0 at filbert street.
My old boss being a Leicester fan, mad me sit with him in the double decker home stand to watch the match.

Fortunately, I made him sit in the mayflower stand for the return match.
