I would hazard a guess and say that simply saying that someone has failed a medical would not be a breach of "medical in confidence". Revealing details of that failure, I assume, would breach it.

The fact that he has failed medicals is fairly common knowledge in the wider football community - apparently.

Seem to remember the Herald saying he'd been training with a club during preseason as well as working with a personal trainer. Reid's probably not match fit, but his general fitness I'd imagine is quite good. The ideal time for Newport to give him a game would be in the Checkatrade trophy.
