At least 5 former Argyle players in the squads for this game.
McHugh, Hartley and Tanner for Motherwell.
Arnason and O'Connor for Aberdeen.

Motherwell won 3-0 Hartley scored. Hartley played full game as did McHugh Tanner came on after 92 mins. O'Connor played full game Argnason came on after 52 mins

i can't understand why tanner isn't playing in what i regard as non-league football.i always thought he was a very good player.

That is a bit harsh in describing the SPL. At least Aberdeen have a European Cup Winners Cup in their Cabinet, which has a tad more kudos and standing than winning the Devon Bowl against Exeter. I agree the lower divisions of the Scottish League do not offer a huge standard, and I just wonder why our football pools companies do not utilise the Vanarama matches on their forecast coupons
