Media team don't like Foster, he doesn't follow their advice on questions and answers to put the best spin on things, does and says what he wants. Lowe and Schuey always listened and followed their advice.
This is something that I've been thinking about for a few days now, because the comms people really should be trying to control the messaging coming out of the club and either they'd been really poor at it, or Foster was just outright ignoring them given how divisive Foster's interviews have been, at a time when you'd really want everyone to come together. But I'm just not sure about this. They seem to support him to me. He's the header photo on the social media pages and I've seen a large number of Argyle fans being blocked by the club on social media in recent weeks. I'd say it looks more like they're supporting Foster.

The club definitely seem to be on a bit of Rick Cowdery-esc social media blocking spree at the moment, anybody who criticises Foster seems to be getting blocked, Simon needs to have a word because it’ll only add to the toxicity.

Ah I see. Doesnt matter about the players then, it's all in the mind.
Exactly, you’ve got it! Most of the same players who defied all the odds (and budgets) to storm the league with 101 points and made us the second highest scoring team at home prior to IF taking over.

Hypothetical question to the Foster lovers...

If we lost the next 8 games, would you want him here next season?

From what we have seen and what is apparently happening behind the scenes, this is quite possible.

I noticed that Joe's prematch interview was not in the interview suite with Foster, but was a closed interview with the Argyle media team in a different room. Is that normal, because I dont think I've ever seen it? Usually the players answer questions from the press and then vacate the seat for Foster. Also, i watched Joe's whole interview hoping he would say something, anything really, that sounded supportive of the manager. Foster wasn't mentioned once. I hope im reading too much into these things.

My thoughts also. Definitely not the usual kind of pre-match player interview.

“We know we’re in the games and we’re creating opportunities but things just aren’t falling for us.”

From Foster’s pre-Norwich interview today.

I want to like him, I want to back him, but he’s not making it easy.

What about that makes you struggle to back him? On another day Morgan's hit against Preston goes in and we get a pen for Hardie being taken out. We win the game. At Blackburn we should have scored four times and would have done if Hardie and Mumba hadn't missed golden chances. Two more points dropped there.

He's right isn't he?

It’s got more to do with the fact there’s no acknowledgement that the deliberate shift to a defensive style of play has resulted in us scoring far fewer goals. We now rely on a set piece or we rely on Whittaker producing something special, we don’t build or sustain pressure, our entire game plan is focused on stopping the opposition, and we don’t even do that well. Hopefully we get a result on Friday and I end up looking silly but I can’t see it. He’s coming across as a bit of an excuse merchant.
