4th test has started well, is it England stepping up or Australia easing off?

Cook's 32nd test hundred, he has now scored hundreds in Perth, Brisbane, Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney becoming only the 2nd overseas player to score a hundred in each of Australia's main 5 test arena's after Sunil Gavaskar.

Due credit to England, they have certainly stepped up. The inclusion of the young quick has been a good move and Cook is showing he still has it. (And I was advocating he be dropped!!!)
Broad and Anderson finally started to bowl at the stumps and got their rewards.
Let's see what Day 3 brings.

Well played Cook, ably supported by Woakes and Broad.
Ali was a walking wicket yet again and shouldn't be playing.

Brilliant knock from Cook, highest score by a overseas player at the "G ". Swashbuckling half century from Broad a gem.
England in total control.

Anderson out first ball of the day, they should have declared. Wasted 15 mins.

Shame Anderson couldn't hang on long enough for Cook to get his 250.

3 Test matches where we've been hammered in glorious sunshine, the one chance we have to get a win, in comes the rain to save the Aussies!

We need to get Smith and Warner very early tomorrow else this will be a draw.

I thought the Aussies may have gone for some quick runs and given England a "realistic" target ?

Just to add a little spice to the dead rubber ?

Would Joe Root had gone for it ?

Maybe ?

Maybe not ?

Keep the Faith :scarf:

Joe Root, the greatest batsman in the world from 0-50 but can't get to 100!!

Also, why no night watchsman? That Bairstow wicket could haunt us.
