Tim Peake's Capsule

I see that the National Science Museum has sent the capsule off on a tour: '... across the length and breadth of the British Isles ...'.

Is visiting: Bradford; Co. Durham; York; Manchester; Edinburgh; Cardiff and Belfast.
The eighth venue is up for an open competition to go on show from August 2018 for 3 months. Competition closes on 1st December.
Is it too much to hope that any venue south west of Bristol has bid for this? Anyone know someone who might?
Wouldn't Eden be interested in this?

Length and breadth of the British Isles?? Really??

Cardiff is 150 plus miles from Plymouth.
Bradford York and Manchester are all within an hour's drive of each other.

WTF is that about?

[Pogleswoody mode on] Perhaps they wanted to keep it around the Peake district? [Pogleswoody mode off]

I've seen a few capsules in my time, and trust me, you won't be missing too much! :)

Fair enough, it is just the 'length and breadth of the British Isles' that niggles me. Must be a fair number of population, schools etc that are basically excluded from their vision of what the British Isles is!!

It couldn’t come to Plymouth, there’s no space for it.

I can't remember where I saw/heard this but it was only a few days ago and I think it involved someone at the university amongst other groups in the city.

I recommend Hanger 7 in Salzburg....massive collection of F1 cars, planes, helicopters owned by Red Bull. Also has the capsule that Felix Baumgartner went to the edge of space on his own and jumped out from..! Best of all, it's free to see it all.
