I follow 6 sports teams. Argyle, England, RC Santander (Spain), Avellino (Italy), Washington Capitals (ice hockey) and Washington Nationals (baseball). Equally passionate about all, none had ever won bugger all of any meaning in my lifetime. Take away 1966, then bugger all ever.

Until tonight. The Caps finally won the Stanley Cup after 44 years of trying. My hero, Russian Alex Ovechkin, was in tears after 13 years with the Caps before winning the Cup. Google it. See the passion.

I have no idea how to feel having never supported a team who have won anything major.

There will be those who will belittle this, but those will be the ones who simply don't understand.

This is why we support Argyle. One day.......

When your team wins the biggest prize it does not matter at what level the passion is real.
Congratulations to you and your Washington Caps  :nworthy:
