I've lost all interest in the one-day game. Twenty20 has killed that, and is turning every aspect of cricket into a slogging match. I'm only really interested in the 5-day tests now.

Beat the world record by 37, very close to the magical 500!

Who'd be a bowler these days? It's just damage limitation now.

Don't know much about cricket, but that looks like a fair old walloping.

It was a thumping of Biblical proportions, but it wasn't exactly tense. There should be a relatively even balance between bat and ball, but that seems to have disappeared some time ago.

I also prefer the Tests but a very good England team hammered a poor Australia team yesterday and that's always good.

It's a pity the Test series against India is so late in the summer with only small breaks between each Test.
