Oh dear I showed you how it does last for six months the agency moves them from farm to farm so you are wrong yet again. Now at no time have I distinguished between net and gross figures I said they could earn 600 per week here and minimum wage is 28 pounds per week over there. However as you are distinguishing it would take them 20 weeks to earn the sum before they start paying income tax. In the six weeks left they would earn 3000 pounds so income tax will work out at less than 500 pounds in the six months. So your trying to work in the difference between net and gross is minimal in the grand scheme of things.
Now the figure of 600 per week 12 hour shifts and six days per week on minimum wage equates to 597 pounds per week oh it is allowed under the working time regs.
Ah so now it makes sense. You are expecting effectively slave labour. 72 hours a week 12 hours a day 6 days a week back -breaking work and still not £600 after deductions. You conveniently forgot ni. No doubt you have never worked 12 hours a day 6 days a week picking fruit yourself. So they move them from 'farm to farm'. Each farm is on a different seasonal cycle is it?
You really do like making assumptions about people dont you.
For ten years I helped sponsor the familys
Son through his education. Eighteen months ago I was invited to his high school graduation and met them all. I am currently helping him through architectural college. Does that sound as if I want slave labour from them. Those type of hours is the norm out there due to survival needs. What I initially said with no reference to time span is that they would willingly come over here to work. You bought the statement in for a few weeks
National insurance would be 52 per week income tax would be 4.75 per week reality why they would do it. Each one of them could go home having earnt enough to buy what they call a house and still have the equivalent of two years wages over there.
Oh 25 years I worked 12 hour nightshifts and yes I have worked six per week when my family were young and I needed to so I do know the meaning of it.
