Why drive 260 miles to Durham, when he could have self isolated in London.
He was concerned about childcare for his 4 year old if both he and his wife became incapacitated. Therefore he (they) elected to travel to be close to family. Whether that is reasonable given the weight of Government support he would have likely received if that happened, e.g. transporting family member(s) to London to look after the child, is one point of debate.
The rules stated, that if you had symptoms of the virus, you self isolate. (He designed these rules).
So why travel, 260 miles to self isolate, when he can self isolate in London.
So if family members can provide him with food in Durham. Then it can be done in London. His sister in law, lived near. Plus he has so many friends in the ‘Cabinet’, they could have provided provisions.
So why was the reason to travel in Durham, in breach of the rules.
Plus, he took a 60 mile round trip to another town, to test his eyesight, (on his wife’s birthday).
What absolute bollocks, anybody who believes that, are misguided as he is.
Spot on .Unfortunately Boris needs Cummings so no matter what rubbish he spouted he knows Boris hasn't got the nerve to sack him. Anybody who for one moment believes that fanciful account of driving to Barnard Castle will believe anything.
