Isn't it reassuring to know that our country is being run by such political giants as Michael Green Sebastian Fox Grant Shapps?

Another wonderful rant from Janathan Pie - "Put a f***ing mask on!" highlighting the utter confusion about face masks.

https://t.co/t5m2ALrSJe?amp=1

Honestly I really believe he should be recruited by the government to do public imformation messages..... funny and very persuasive.

So, I really need to get back from France by 3.55 tomorrow morning as then I'll be completely safe to go to the wedding reception tomorrow afternoon; bowling with the kids after that and let them roll around in the soft play centre; then, off to the casino in the evening after watching the snooker live!!
Sounds like a plan!!

Mind you, if I get back from France at 4.05 I'm going to have to tell officials that I'm not going to do any of those things (snigger ;) ) as I'll obviously be a danger to public health.
Such small margins between life and death.
Thank God the Grant Shapps and the Government know where the boundaries need to be set!!

No sympathy whatsoever for those who decide they must have a holiday abroad in the middle of a pandemic and then find themselves stranded. Its all about priorities and I cannot understand why so many people are dying to have a holiday.
Stay home and stay safe.

Totally agree, if they are happy to take a holiday abroad during a pandemic then they should be prepared to face the consequences of quarantine is needs must.

This approach by the government has truly baffled me, that being said most of what they've done has baffled me.

If the danger from France is serious enough to justify the quarantine from this morning how was yesterday fine? Why 4am, why not midnight?

Knowing this government it'll come out that a middle-rank MP was on holiday in France and (s)he was due back in the UK around 3am.

But we all know most people will probably not abide by the quarantine anyway. Completely unenforceable.

I'm well aware that my life is not a particularly tough one, and that holidays can be more important to others than they are to me; but it does bug me that as time has gone by, and living standards have steadily improved, so many people have come to consider it some kind of fundamental human right to bugger off abroad as often as they possibly can, even at times like this.

Stranded in France? Merde dure.

I would agree with that (though I’m a total hypocrite).

It’s also a little jarring to see young people talk about the environment, then get on a plane 4-5 times a year (again, total hypocrite).

Have you noticed that the country’s with the highest death numbers, are led by right wing, male with more a less a negative, misled approach to covid 19, and some of them, state it is only flu, and it will go away

USA. Mad trump
Brazil. Bolsonaro
India. Modi
UK. Johnson

With two of them actually getting the virus, (pity Trump didn’t get it).

So, the latest thing we (our beloved Government) are concentrating testing on areas that have a high rate of disease.
Surely you already know that the disease is rife there?
Why not concentrate on testing lower areas to stop the rate from increasing?

Then, of course, you are advised to drive hundreds of miles for a Covid test.

Fair enough I suppose, hundreds of miles for a Covid test vs. thirty miles for an eye test?? Sounds about right.

Everything is going to be OK folks!!

Just heard UnPrecedented Trump state that the virus is going to go away without a vaccine.
Apparently we are all going to develop a herd mentality.

Herd mentality seems a good moove to me. Operation Coronavirus Mooonshot.

Thank goodness for that! Phew!!
