Just the 182 goals

He and Leslie played together for almost all their Argyle careers, so that’s a 300 goal partnership :scarf:

Plymouth Argyle never lose a football match, it's just that quite often we run out of time to enable us to win.......

Guys

We dont want to move or over moderate this thread. The thread is a place where people can find a link to support the renaming of a Plymouth square to that of a black, former Argyle player who was called up to play for England only to be discarded when his colour was discovered. The naming of Hawkins square has already agreed by PCC to be renamed to something else.

If you want to debate the principle of renaming, or the individual themselves, please use the thread on Opinions and Terraces.

I have heavily modified this thread and locked it. Make your own minds up about whether you want to sign the petition or not.

If you want to argue the issue there are threads on opinions.

I give my apologies to anyone who I have upset by splitting and altering posts where necessary.

In due course we may feel able to unlock the topic but in the meantime it will remain locked and stickied for a while.

Posts moved from this thread remain intact on their own thread in Terraces and Opinions.

I know the original thread is locked, but I thought I should pass on that I have recently received this reply from the leader of the council:
"Thank you for your email, a consultation will be sent out on the re-naming of the square and I can confirm that Jack Leslie is one of the considerations."
The game is On!

I'm not signing this.

Even putting aside the controversial issue of whether things should be re-named in the first place, any alternative names should be based on the views of the wider Plymouth public and the people who live in that part of the city. The best of way of doing this is via the Council, not an arbitary poll on football fans forum.

There is no 'poll', Patrick has raised a petition based on an idea of Keith.

We're Plymothians, surely we have a say.

As you presumably are, don't you think it's a nice idea?

Or would you like Bob Jack Square?
