There’s usually a Glastonbury thread on here but not this year for obvious reasons.

However, BBC iPlayer have a lot of full sets from years gone by to enjoy. Out of all listed I would recommend The Cure and LCD Soundsystem.

I’m looking forward to The Foo Fighters tomorrow and The Killers and David Bowie on Sunday.

They look worth a watch. I saw the Foos one when it was on live and they’re a fantastic band, but they do tend to p!$$ about in the middle of songs a bit too much for my liking. I’d rather they filled the time with a couple more songs.

I saw Metallica last night. An average band would have been happy with that, but was disappointing for a band of that quality. The pace of songs varied wildly and Kirk’s solos were riddled with mistakes. A bit longer in the rehearsal room would not have gone amiss.

BBC4 tonight at 10.00pm - Arthur Lee and Love perform their seminal album, Forever Changes live at Glastonbury 2003.

I highly recommend it. They performed the full album complete with the backing of horns and strings. Stunning.

Really enjoyed that one last night!!! My recommend in turn, is Toots and Maytals tonight 7:30 BBC4, and Bowie tomorrow Beeb2 at 9:30.

Remember (accidentally) watching Christine and the Queens (I'd never heard of them). Astonishing. So I'll definitely watch that one again.

Also Albert Lee and Love performing Forever Changes should be interesting. I had the words to Aloneagainor on a schoolbook in my broken-hearted poet period (that was a phase not one of the lessons on the timetable).

Didn’t know Arthur Lee and Love before. Great set, and copied all their stuff on to Spotify. Bowie last night — awesome.
