Really, who cares, if the players want to do it, fine.

Why is it bothering you, to me it should be done at EVERY game.

You should be asking, why is it not at every game,

I will ask what ever question I like - if only I could get an answer to it.

But why are you asking? Why does it matter to you?

As you seem incapable of answering his perfectly reasonable question with anything other than a question, let me ask you - Why do you care so much that he cares?

His 'perfectly reasonable question' which includes the thought that the ref might dictate that players should take the knee? How would that work then? What does he do if they stand? Book them?

All this debate about BLM when the knee is being taken in support of Kick It Out which is neither political nor Marxist and predates BLM?

Because it's a perfectly harmless gesture which highlights historical d and ongoing injustices and discrimination. Why the need to question it?
So why are YOU questioning why we are questioning him questioning!!

Not all agree it is a harmless gesture. From the 1700+ comments at the end of the article below, I think there is a chance a lot of people have been turned off supporting football & other sports which adopt what they see as signalling associated with a dangerous political movement.

I know you won't like the source, but if you are going to police turnstiles & turn away/discourage people who read the Daily Mail or don't share your political views - well, we shall see in the long run if crowds are affected. Maybe football is healthy enough to lose a load of supporters because it preaches at them. Personally, I find one of the cords connecting me to Argyle (since 1963) through thick & thin - has been severed. My days as a football fan are being severely tested by this political posturing, & I suspect others feel the same way.

On Tuesday I saw how the uptake of the gesture is now being decided. Just before Kick off the Ref looked quizzically at one of the Oxford players and with no more than a simple enquiring pointing upwards / downwards of his finger, the decision was made and both teams took the knee. Nothing wrong with that, but it did appear that it's now been relegated to a last minute decision. Maybe it's impact is waning ?

All this "dangerous political movement" stuff has been very successfully fed into mainstream thinking by white people to the right of the political spectrum (yes, certainly the Daily Mail, and many others including politicians) because it is dangerous to them - to their cosy little status quo, which they don't like to see challenged by uppity n...s, and they have vast resources with which to poison the debate, knowing that millions will lap it up because it's exactly what they want to believe in the first place.

1700+ comments on an article on the Mail Online? Wow, that must represent a balanced cross-section of society! And by all means do feel free to stop supporting Argyle from now on, since in your white victimhood you've somehow conflated being a Daily Mail reader with potentially being turned away at the turnstiles by rabid commies.

‘A dangerous political movement’,

that’s not very nice to talk about the Tories like that.

Oh, that's hilarious. You really are wasted on here. Don't tell me - you're a secret comedy writer for the Bash Britain C... Their "comedy" programmes are So-So funny!

‘Bash Britain C’, sorry never heard of it.

I was just highlighting what stupid comments you made about BLM, how on earth can that be a ‘dangerous movement’, they are peaceful, and are highlighting STILL the injustices STILL going on against black people.

Something that you should be supporting, but I suspect your motives and prejudices are questionable, and very more right wing, than right wing.
