Then there's adroit (from the French à droit, meaning rightly, upright, clever and so on - all "right, correct, good" attributes) as opposed to gauche, meaning awkward, tactless and so on, from the same word in French meaning left - all rather useless attributes.

Then again, the saintly Ned Flanders is famously a lefty! (Not to mention fair to average musicians such as Paul McCartney and Jimi Hendrix...)
