John Martyn & David Gilmour - One World - Live.

Oh and everything is suddenly OK.
relegation smelligation.
Work tomorrow? - yeah that's cool.
Brexit - Scmhexit

The world is a beautiful beautiful place, but not as beautiful as it was when John Martyn still bestrode the stage

This new single from Springsteen. If the rest of his new album will be as good as this, then it'll be effin brilliant. I love this track.

Love the Cure :nworthy:

But channel surfing last night and came upon:
Christine and the Queens.

Absolutely astonishingly/Iggy Pop-py good!!

Bit of theatre/singing & dance all live on stage!! Wow!!
As a 67 yr old maybe I shouldn't like that ... should I?
But it was top quality and astonishingly good. Well worth tracking down on i-player. :nworthy:

Slipknot were a funny one. I've seen them a couple of times before. Never liked them when they came out – too dark for me to be honest, but over the last few years I realised how much I enjoyed a handful of their songs. Seeing them live is very intense and I think I'm done with them to be honest. I wouldn't say they've lost their edge though – very very popular and they put on a hell of a show!

I saw their Glastonbury performance and wow, just wow. I’m now a (nearly) 50 year old fanboy who can’t get the song Girlfriend off his playlist. They are stunning on record and live. I have to say, pop is where it’s at for me at the moment. Can’t remember the last guitar band (maybe The War on Drugs?) that made me sit up.

For old times sake, the new (and very electronic) Lloyd Cole album is worth a spin.
