What happened to Trum’s attempt to sell off the postal service to a friend’s company so he could then ban postal votes, which are historically mainly pro-democrat? Have read nothing further since fears were raised a few months ago.

Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., wrote to Postal Service board of governors chairman Robert M. Duncan questioning whether DeJoy, a seasoned businessman and top fundraiser for President Donald Trump who took office Monday, was “selected for reasons of politics or patronage” and how he’ll distance himself from the GOP and his vast financial portfolio.

2 minutes 10 seconds of utter lunacy (QAnoners all, no doubt), then two people at the end who actually sound like informed grown-ups. Those freedom-loving patriots are scarier than the virus.

(Yep, one of them really does say that.)

Surely not, because if this happened in March there is no way he’d be inviting Putin to attend the G7 meetings? Or is there?????

I know, there's just no end to it.
The WH is naturally claiming that Trump knew nothing of the report. So what's worse? That he knew all about it but ignored it, or that they were too frightened to tell the actual president of the country?
And we were also informed, and what did our government do about it? Exactly what they were told to do, no doubt.
MickyD wrote: That all still begs the question(s): who would be capable of taking over from him and stand a good chance of winning; who would the GOP find acceptable; who would the rabid Trump base stick with; and who would Trump stand down for anyway? As per my post last week, I can come up with only one name: Don Junior. I fills me with horror just to contemplate it, but he's absolutely ready-made for the job, in various ways that nobody else is.
There's also the small matter of staying out of prison, also alluded to last week. Dropping out of the race might save Trump a lot of further public scrutiny, but Biden has already said that he would emphatically not pardon Trump if he, Biden, were elected. Trump would trust nobody but a family member to make certain that a pardon were granted, or that all further investigation be crushed even more brutally than it already has been.
It would be a tough call, but I think I might grow to despise a President Don Junior even more than I despise President Don Senior.
Edited to add: Anyway, I think Trump Senior would want to be "officially" a candidate for as long as possible, because the second he's a private citizen again he could be immediately arrested for a list of crimes as long as a gibbon's arm. If it's close enough to the election they'll probably calculate that he should be OK - then it's just a question of awaiting the result, then if they lose challenging it indefinitely, sowing even greater chaos in the country and the world but they won't care about that because it's all about keeping him out of prison - and keeping some utterly mind-blowing secrets from coming to light for as long as possible, I have no doubt. All the things we now know - imagine all the things we still don't!
