Not really a rumour more a suggestion scored again today for FGR may help with our goalscoring problems

Forest Green would probably request a ridiculous fee. Can't see us being able to afford him.

We should have some cash floating about from the Liverpool games and the above ‘break even’ attendances?

How far are we going to stretch the Liverpool money?

Well said Ade. Must have spent that 3 or 4 times over by now!

We made £400,000 just on the replay, never mind our cut of the Anfield sell out, so that have we spent three times the Liverpool money on? New nets for the training pitch, or was it £15,000 transfer fee for Nathan Blissett? Sad to hear it has been blown already!

The question about the unbudgeted income was asked at the recent Fans Forum, with Starnes listing what it has been used for.

It does surprise me at times how much information the Club gives out that people seem to conveniently ignore.

.

Nadir Ciftci, Toumani, Graham Carey’s new bundle, tour of Holland all took some money.

If I gave you £1000 could you guarantee that you have that £1000 this time next year?

There is such a thing as VAT repayment to take into account on ticket sales and corporation tax on annual trading profit. It is not just a simple calculation to identify potential cash resources to invest. I am sure the Harpers Park ground works did not come cheap.

It's always been the case but you do wonder how some people must really struggle to manage their personal finances if they approach them in the same way they see the finances of their football club.

You get headline figures for income. Gate receipts, player sales and competition winnings all get a figure. They then take those figures as being continually available spending money.

The outgoings of a business are however never quantified in headlines. Some already stated but there's, wages, tax, National insurance, agent fees, signing on fees, utility bills, pitch repairs, infrastructure investment etc.

A big headline sum of money doesn't last long.

We must assume that the finger counters amongst those bemoaning failure to spend on transfers are all bankrupts.
