Looks interesting! Wonder why he was released though following only 9 appearances with 1 goal?

He was one of the Oxford team that lost 7 - 0 to Wigan. It was his last appearance for them.
He is still young and had a good reputation at Barcelona so perhaps just needs a manager who can get the best out of him. The few clips I have seen of him reminds me a little of Akos Buzsaky.

If it happens then it would be identical to Ryan Taylor arrival last January.
Not quite. They actually wanted to keep Taylor.

So why did Oxford terminate Taylor’s contract by mutual consent?

He wasn't a regular starter and wanted to play more, but he did play and score a couple of games before his exit. Oxford would have been happy to keep him on, but he was already in talks with us before the 'mutual termination' took place.

So Oxford wanted him so much they let him talk to another Club, then let him go for free rather than ask for a fee from a Club that wanted him.

Nowhere did I say they were desperate to keep him, but they weren't actively looking to get rid of him either. He was under contract, he was playing a reasonable amount. He wanted to play more. He wasn't that important to them. They accepted his request to move on. Shouldn't be too difficult for you to understand.

Is there any reason why we shouldn't go in for this chap on a free?

He's the most exciting free agent I can currently find. Able to play as a central or a wide midfielder, and at the tender age of 22, with Barcelona pedigree, he could be moulded into something quite special.

Don't know why Oxford let him walk, unless he doesn't get on well in the changing room

Edit: He's 23 tomorrow

I’m sure he’s on the radar! With Adams recently saying that free transfers are an option, him and a few others are worth looking at.

It’s a no from me- he’s too lightweight. Ledson, Ruffles, and Rothwell are all quality midfielders too. Very much Pep Clotets signing.

Taylor was a regular starter for Oxford, he made 31 appearances that season before signing for us in January!
