Away goals rule scrapped in Uefa competitions including Champions League

I'll miss it - it's made for many thrilling twists and turns over the years, rather like the two Euro 2020 Group F games last night.

Still, I suppose that extra time and penalties will bring in lots more lovely TV advertising revenue...

I dont see the logic in extra time. 180 minutes wasn't enough, here have another 30!

I agree that it needs to go. It was introduced to encourage away teams to attack and not just park the bus. It'll be interesting to see how teams (particularly Italian ones) play in future.

Correct call. Outdated. 'Home advantage' is nowhere near as relevant as it once was.

It got ridiculous last season when they had away goals even when games were being played in neutral stadiums.
