Raheem Sterling has his say.

"At the same time, they've all respectfully done their coaching badges to coach at the highest level and the two that haven't been given the right opportunities are the two black former players."

I can't help thinking this is a bit off the point and once again pretty derogatory to lower league football.

I actually have far more admiration and respect for Sol Campbell who is 'learning his managerial trade' in the lower leagues like most managers have done before him. He's doing a pretty good job so far too.

We all know why Lampard got the Chelsea job - he had a decent season at Derby and is a Chelsea legend. That appointment had a fair amount of 'heart' behind it. Ashley Cole is learning his trade at Chelsea and Gerrard took on a Rangers team very much still recovering and nowhere near their stature of old.

But it seems that 'the likes of Macclesfield' are below the acceptable level for former Premiership stars and it is merely an insult and embarrassment when they are forced to have to manage them....
