Well done on being accepted back into football. They start the 2020/21 season in Division 1 North of the North West Counties Football League.

How far down the football pyramid is that? What would be the equivalent in local football?

7 promotions to get to where Bury FC were removed from.

Incidentally Steve Dale and Bury FC have applied to join National League North for 2020-21 season, 4 divisions higher than Bury AFC with Dale expecting a decision on his application any time now. With no current squad members and no management/coaching staff I'd be surprised if that was even close to being approved.

Does anyone know how that compares with where AFC Wimbledon started?

AFC Wimbledon stared off in the Combined Counties League, Premier Division which is level 9, one higher than where Bury AFC will start.

I see the two sets of fans groups have had a vote to merge and create one Bury football club.
Shakers Community Society and Bury Football Club Supporters Society.

One group has a team and no ground and the other has a ground (Gigg Lane) but no team.
The vote didn't reach the 66% majority needed.
A shame, although talks are ongoing, there's nearly £1m worth of funding available as well.

As we saw, in fighting after such a tumultuous time is almost expected.

You have the fighters pre admin and then the 'I want to be important" after the death of the club.

Let's hope common sense breaks out, surely Bury FC must play at Gigg Lane.
