Just been looking on sky sports news and have seen Bolton have signed an American from Houston Dynamos on loan until end of the season
I would have thought with Carver & Mariners contacts in US football this would have been a distinct possibility rather than trying out more un-known trialists !
Now I know johnson and Arnasen are proof you can get good players for nothing as seip and Abdou before them but how many players are signed in January that are available un-attached ? normally if they are any good they would be signed up somewhere even if its at a lower league club
At the end of the days you dont get may players of Macleans elk that dont actully want to play football !

Could this explain MacLean's fallow period I wonder?
