If one of these clubs facing court action went out of business, how do you think the league would restructure?

I would guess that the PL would relegate 2, promote 3 so the Championship would be a team short. Maybe only 2 down?

Same if Cardiff/Palace went, maybe only 2 relegated to maintain 24 clubs for next season?

If Southend went, would they just look to the leagues below?

Clutching at straws maybe, but Portsmouth and Cardiff are both in a lot of trouble at the moment.

I for one certainly wouldnt want any club to go out of business to save our skin temporarily.

If we arent good enough, we arent good enough.

I would be surprised if any real football supporter would actually take any pleasure out of a football club failing completely.
I can take the despair. Its the hope I cant stand.

I have no idea how the PL or FL would work this one out. It may result in extra teams being promoted to balance it all out etc.
Criticism may not be agreeable, but it is necessary. It fulfils the same function as pain in the human body. It calls attention to an unhealthy state of things.

I disagree. Football is a ruthless game, and if Pompey or whoever can't control their finances then that's their faults. If a football club going out of business keeps us in the division, then SO BE IT.

I certainly wouldn't feel great if we stayed up as a result of somone else going out of bussiness. But the fact is these clubs have screwed up and maybe deserve to fail given how they have been run.

I couldn't give a toss if another club going out of business kept us up.

It's only a game afterall and you should hope for luck in whichever form it may manifest itself. The only team going under i care about is Argyle..
